It quickly made its way around the web last month and now, Kesha is breaking her silence about the awkward moment when Jerry Seinfeld failed to recognize her and refused to give her a hug on a red carpet.

In an interview on SiriusXM satellite radio's Hits 1 station, the 30-year-old singer revealed, "I felt like I was five years old. I instantly was like, 'Oh, f--k me.? And I like somehow ended up in my very own episode, mini episode of Seinfeld for like five seconds."

Kesha, who just released a new single ?Praying,? went for the hug on the red carpet for a National Night of Laughter and Song event at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in June.

She ran up to the 63-year-old comedian while he was giving an interview in an attempt to get a hug, but he declined.

"I'm Kesha! I love you so much. Can I give you a hug?" she squealed upon meeting him. He responded quickly, "No thanks," to which Kesha begged, "Please?" Once again he answered, "No thanks," putting his hands up. The singer gave it one more try, pleading, "A little one?" as she took a step toward him. The actor immediately backed away and more sternly stated, "Yeah, no thanks."

In the new interview, the ?Tik Tok? hit-maker admitted, ?I should have known better,? adding it?s ?fine? that Seinfeld is ?not a huggy guy.?

?I?ve seen every episode [of Seinfeld] a thousand times,? she said. ?I used to carry the whole season package with me everywhere on my carry-on. Like DVDs. That?s why I wanted a hug so hard.?

Being ?hug-denied? by Seinfeld made Kesha reconsider how she approaches people.

"I had a moment where I was thinking to myself, 'Wow, maybe I should stop trying to hug everyone and like, attack them,' and then I was like, 'F--k that,'" she said. "No. I like hugging. Hugging is magical. Hugging is beautiful. It's this beautiful exchange of wonderful, like, soul, energy, of like, 'I accept you' and like, it's just this like, beautiful connection."

Recalling a warmer encounter with rocker Bob Dylan at a festival that featured both of them on the line-up, Kesha said, ?I was so scared because I had just got hug-denied. I was like a little hug-traumatized. So I just, um, I like walked up and I just kind of like stood there and smiled and he just opened his beautiful arms and gave me the most wonderful, healing Bob Dylan hug that I have ever dreamed of and I just could care less about anything else."

"He gave me another hug at the end of our conversation," she said. "So I got two Bob Dylan hugs!"
