Kapil Sharma shoots his first ad

Comic star Kapil Sharma is on the roll. Even as his show Comedy Nights With Kapil completes one year, and he has a contract with the biggest studio in B-town - YRF. And now Kapil has signed his first major ad deal.

On Tuesday Kapil shot an ad for Honda brand's new automobile. Says Kapil, "I've been getting many offers for ads. Lekin dil nahin manta ttha. The product I would choose to endorse had to be something that made me and my fans happy. Kuch aisa jissse dil khush jo jaye."

While Kapil is not discussing money, one heard he has been paid a whopping 4.5 crore rupees to serve as the brand ambassador for Honda's new automobile brand.

While details of the ad are being kept under wraps, it is learnt that Kapil will be funny and smart-alecky. "He will be playing himself in the ad. Therefore he has to be funny ," says the source.
