Kajol to star opposite Dhanush in a South Indian film?

Kajol is likely to star in the sequel of Tamil film Vela Illa Pattathari (VIP) opposite Dhanush, reports a tabloid. The film will be directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya, Dhanush will reprise his role from the first part. The actor has also penned the story and dialogue of the film.

A source is quoted saying, "The film has an 'In Pursuit Of Happiness' theme which will be retained in the second film."

The film will be shot in Telugu and Tamil.

Dhanush and Soundarya are said to have discussed the role with Kajol who has liked it. Date-issues are being worked out and she is expected to sign soon. Kajol has earlier done the Tamil film Minsara Kanavu directed by Rajeev Menon. The film in which she was cast opposite Arvind Swamy, won four National Awards.
