Vidya Balan is back with a BANG in Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, the sequel to her 2012 blockbuster Kahaani. The makers of the film have finally unveiled its trailer and it has piqued our interest already.

The trailer gives us glimpses of a pretty complex narrative. A number of scenes and situations will remind you of its prequel, Kahaani. Arjun Rampal plays a cop in the film while Jugal Hansraj also plays a significant character.

The trailer begins with a mysterious phone call which gives us the inkling that Durga's (Vidya Balan) daughter, Mini, has been kidnapped. As she runs across the road, she is hit by a car. The scene will remind you of the train scene in Kahaani, in which Vidya is almost pushed in front of the train. But in Kahaani 2, she is actually hit by a car and goes into coma.

What follows in the next 2 minutes 13 seconds will leave you on the edge of your seat and make you question every sequence thereafter. Durga Rani Singh has her own secrets, part of which she has scribbled in her diary. The plot takes an interesting twist when it is learnt that she is accused of murder and kidnapping, while still in coma.

Just like its prequel, Kahaani 2 also abounds in dark and dingy atmosphere coupled with shady characters. While in the first film, her husband went missing, in this one, it is her daughter who is missing.Your heart will definitely skip multiple beats, multiple times on watching this brilliantly cut trailer.

While Vidya Balan stuns once again with her spot on expressions, it is Arjun Rampal's calm and composed demeanour that keeps us intrigued.
