A bullied woman has revealed that she was inspired by Julia Robert starrer ‘Erin Brockovich’ to file a lawsuit against her former employers and fight her own case, which she won, in court.

The woman in question, Alex Gibson, claimed that she couldn’t afford to hire a lawyer to represent her, so she decided to study for a law degree, the Daily Express reported.

Gibson, who is a dyslexic, said she was forced to leave her job because even after registering a complaint with the bosses about the bullying, it did not help her case.

Gibson, 36, who was recently awarded a law degree with honours from Bangor University, alleged disability discrimination and harassment at the hearing.

Gibson asserted that the actress’ character in the ‘Erin Brockovich’ film motivated her as Brockovich won against the odds and she was determined to do the same.

In the movie, which is based on true events, legal clerk Brockovich won a multi-million pound lawsuit against a US corporation.
