John Abraham's 'Welcome Back' the first Bollywood film to shoot at Emirates Palace

John Abraham-Anil Kapoor starrer Welcome Back, which is a sequel to the 2007 comedy Welcome will be the first Bollywood film to be shot at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Although many Bollywood makers and producers had previously approached to shoot at the Emirates Palace, none of them could eventually get the permission to do so. Welcome Back will be the first Hindi film and the second film in the world to have shot at the destination.

Earlier, it is only Fast and Furious 7 which was shot at the Emirates Palace. The dome area of the palace which is owned by the Abu Dhabi royal family will be pictured as Naseeruddin Shah's living room in the sequel. 

Welcome Back is scheduled for a January 2015 release and will star John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia.
