Jennifer Hudson thanks assistant by gifting a house

Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson has purchased a new house for her assistant Walter Williams to show her gratitude for his support over the years.

Williams was shocked, reports contactmusic.com.

Hudson shared his reaction in a video posted on social networking platform Instagram, with the caption: "My assistant Walter's reaction when he found out I was buying him a house for Christmas."

In the video, the actress is standing besides her assistant when she breaks the news that she has bought him a house. They appear to be in a living room.

Husdon rose to fame in 2004 as a finalist on the third season of American Idol. She went on to feature in movies like "The Secret Life Of Bees", "The Three Stooges" and "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete".
