Director Sam Mendes finally put fan speculation and the rumour mill to rest by revealing the cast and title for the next James Bond movie. Mendes made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday, streamed live from the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire.
Mendes, director of Skyfall, returns to direct the latest addition to the Bond franchise and revealed that the upcoming film, dubbed 'Bond 24' till now, will be titled Spectre. Writers of Skyfall, John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade return to write for the film. Spectre will be shot at Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier & Erfoud, Morocco, Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee, Austria.

Among the returning cast members are Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny with Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Bond's car for the film will be the Aston Martin DB10.
Monica Belluci and Lea Seydoux join the cast as the Bond girls Lucia Sciarra and Madeleine Swann respectively. French actress Seydoux is best known for her role in the film Blue is the Warmest Colour, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013.

Fans have been speculating over who the Bond villain will be this time around. Speculations were rife that Andrew Scott would join the cast as the villain. Scott famously played Moriarty in the miniseries Sherlock, created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. However, at the press conference, Mendes announced that Scott will be playing Denbigh.

Spectre will release on October 23, 2015, in the UK and November 6 in the US.
