Deepika Padukone has finally reacted on being referred to as Priyanka Chopra in the West. A few days back, while Deepika was coming out of the Los Angeles airport, some western media persons had referred to her by calling her Priyanka.

Now, Deepika met the media at an event held today where a seemingly offended Deepika slammed the western media for the said incident, calling it racist. When the actress was quizzed about being mistaken for Priyanka, she lashed out saying, "Not just me or Priyanka (Chopra), everyone in this room should be offended because it is racist of them to call two people from the same country by the same name. Two people of similar colour are not the same people. So you as fellow Indians should be calling them out and educating them. Instead of encouraging it, you should be educating them."

On the other hand, when PC was in Mumbai last week, she was quizzed about the same incident by BollywoodLife and here's what Priyanka had to say about it, "I did see that (video) and you know that’s just ignorance and it’s not right. I guess I’m the most popular brown face that everyone has known. Every brown girl does not look the same. Don’t mistake it. Let’s try and tell us apart. That was not right and it’s not fair she’s a massive star from India.”
