Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is on a roll.
First, the actor created a buzz by making an appearance on popular chat show Koffee With Karan, and then he took everyone, including show's host Karan Johar, by surprise with his candid confessions and humour.
In a candid conversation with Kjo, Bollywood's Mr perfectionist bared it all about his relationship with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan and his worst fears.
When Karan asked Aamir about why it took him so long to come on this couch, the Dhoom 3 actor's reply left him speechless for a few moments.
"I did not know you well two three years back and whatever little I knew about you, I did not like it."
Opening up about his fiendship with Salman, Aamir revealed how he didn't initially like Salman.
"In Andaaz Apna Apna, I had a bad experience working with him (Salman). I didn't like him as I found him very rude and inconsiderate and a lot of things. Over the years whenever I met him, I was polite but after the experience of working with him in 'Andaaz Apna Apna', I just wanted to stay away from this guy. However, this changed sometime around when I split up with Reena.
"He walked into my life at a juncture when I was at my lowest phase … I was going through a very bad phase after my separation and divorce. For about a year and a half
I was just locked up in my house and I was on a downslide. That's when I bumped into him again and he said he wanted to come over. And he came over and we started drinking… I was drinking a lot at that time, I don't know how, but something connected there. It kind of grew, we began spending more time together."
Aamir was equally honest when KJo asked him about his rapport with Shah Rukh Khan.
Describing their relationship, the superstar said, "I think there is a genuine regard and respect for each other's work and for each other's space. There is also certain amount of guardedness. There is certainly a warmth between Shah Rukh and me but there have also been moments where there has been stress in the relationship."
When asked whether he works to bridge the gap, Aamir said, "Our lives don't converge that much. He's doing very well for himself; he's got a great family and a great bunch of people around him. I don't think he really needs me or has space in his life for me. I wish him well. I like to see his work an as audience."
The actor even spoke about how he tried to resolve the issues between Shah Rukh and Salman, saying that he doesn't like when people fight and feels that one should learn to forgive and forget.
The fun began when the actor was joined by his director wife Kiran Rao who looked quite stylish in a red pencil skirt.
In the rapid fire round, Aamir showed his possessive side when wife Kiran made a joke about being with Ranbir Kapoor.
When Karan asked Kiran what would she do if she wakes up as Katrina Kaif, Aamir quipped that he would be very happy if she turned into Katrina Kaif as he would be next to her in bed.
While Kiran won the hamper, Aamir walked away with the quiz round.
The episode made for a great watch as we saw Aamir like we have never before.
All we can say is that we would love to see more of this Aamir in future.
