The journey from being a choreographer to a director has been an extremely memorable one for Remo D’Souza, who is currently directing a dance based film, ABCD – Anybody Can Dance.

Talking about his film, he says, “It is a dream come true for me because I have always wanted to make a film on dance- something I am so passionate about. ABCD is India’s first 3D dance film. I most thankful to Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya for agreeing to do my film. It wasn’t easy to get So You Think You Can Dance reality star, Lauren Gottilieb to agree as well but I guess everything falls into place, if your intentions are genuine.”

Remo who has gained popularity as a reality show judge on Dance India Dance, confesses he wouldn’t be what he is today, if it weren’t for the show. “I would give all credit to DID for making me who I am. I owe it all to the show for giving me a face to my name. Everyone knew me or had heard about me, but no body knew who I was and what I actually looked like. That has been possible only because of DID. Shows like these that expose hidden talents should be encouraged. When I started out, I had to struggle a lot. If I had a platform like DID to showcase my talents I would have been really fortunate. I have worked my way up from being a dancer to an assistant to a choreographer and now finally a director," says Remo.
