Samuel L Jackson has criticised a television news presenter for confusing him with Laurence Fishburne, another Hollywood actor. "I'm not Laurence Fishburne. We may be all black and famous, but we all don't look alike. You're busted," Jackson told Sam Rubin on the station KTLA in Los Angeles.

Rubin had asked Jackson what reaction there had been to a Super Bowl car commercial he was in, which in fact starred Fishburne.

During an extended tongue-lashing Jackson, who does TV commercials for credit cards, said: "I'm the other guy. There's more than one black guy doing a commercial. I'm the 'What's in your wallet?' black guy. He's the car black guy. Morgan Freeman is the other credit card black guy. You only hear his voice though, so you probably won't confuse him with Laurence Fishburne."

Mr Rubin later apologised.
