Honey Singh to be seen in a negative role in new film 'xpose'

Yo Yo Honey Singh is all set to make his acting debut in Hindi films. It’s a suspense thriller called Xpose directed by Ananth Mahadevan. According to reports Yo Yo plays a negative character in Xpose. But he denies this. “It is not a negative role. It is a dark edgy character with many shades. It starts off one way and ends up another. We never know which way the character is going.”

Yo Yo admits  he doesn’t have a very lengthy role. “But it’s interesting. I took it up mainly because I can’t say no to Himesh bhai (Reshammiya).” Himesh is not only producing but is also the main lead. Says Yo Yo, “We have been working together on stage. When he asked me to do this role I didn’t think twice. But I’d need to brush up my acting skills. I’ve done a couple of Punjabi films.

They were basically extensions of my own personality. In Xpose I play a character who is not like me at all, although he is a musician.”

Yo Yo will go through acting classes before he starts shooting. “The film’s director will teach me what to do.”
