Here's why 'Raees' trailer didn't come on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday

The Raees trailer was to be shown on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday yesterday but it didn’t happen. Says an industrywalla, “SRK has always had a grand media event on this day and this year too, he was planning to have one. Not just that, the producers of Raees (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had announced that they were planning to release the trailer on SRK’s birthday to the media but suddenly there was a change of plans. Instead, SRK brought in his birthday at his Alibag bungalow with just close friends and family and away from the media glare. Maybe they didn’t want to release their trailer so close to Kaabil. because again comparisons would be made and they wanted to avoid that.”

Meanwhile, there were joint celebrations for SRK and Shanaya. Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan brought in his 51st birthday and his close friends Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter’s 17th birthday at the superstar’s Alibag bungalow. Shanaya and SRK’s daughter Suhana are very close. Along with them, Ranbir Kapoor, Kajal Anand and Karan Johar were also present.
