Joining the bandwagon of superheroes/villains, Olivia Munn will be seen sword fighting, the mutant way, in the new X-Men: Apocalypse movie. Mumm will bring the character of Psylocke to life.

But this is not the first superhero movie The Newsroom star was offered. After making a fleeting appearance in Iron Man a few years ago, Munn was offered Morena BBaccarin's role in Deadpool

The Deadpool movie has become a smash hit and it boasts the title of 'The Most Successful X-Men movie.' So what happened that Munn decided to give it a pass?

Talking to American Way, she said that she didn't want to play a girlfriend role when she could play a kick ass fighter. "I thought Psylocke was always one of the most lethal characters, and I said, ‘Yes, as long as you’re not using her to be the eye candy. She has really powerful abilities,’" Munn said.

The makers agreed and also warned her that the character does not have a lot of lines to say. Munn was okay with it as long as she was getting a fight scene.
