Twin weddings!
Yes, you heard it right. They got married in Twin weddings on Tuesday in Delhi. The Catholic ceremony was a day wedding and happened in the morning at 11 am in a beautiful chapel arrangement and was followed by a special lunch. The chapel was specially erected in the hotel they were staying in. The evening saw them exchange jai malas in a Hindu ceremony followed by dinner.
Invitees!
For the chapel wedding, a close knit guest list was made. But for the Hindu wedding ceremony, around 100 people were invited. The couple were keen to keep their wedding simple and intimate hence only less than 100 guests were invited to both the wedding ceremonies which were strictly family and the dearest of friends. Since Asin is known to be a private person, she wanted her wedding also to be a private affair.
Cupid ke saath picture
The film industry or the business fraternity wasn't invited to the wedding except actor Akshay Kumar who is best friends with the couple and played cupid in bringing them together. Akshay Kumar who was busy shifting cities to promote his upcoming film Airlift made sure he was present on Asin and Rahul's special day. He was present right from Tuesday early morning till night and made sure he took part in all the ceremonies planned. How sweet!
Reception on 23rd!
The couple will have a reception on January 23 in Mumbai for all their colleagues and friends. The who's who of the film industry will be seen showering the newly weds with gifts and blessings.
