"Star Wars" creator George Lucas may have taken retirement from taking the franchise forward, but Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy says he occasionally continues to offer suggestions on new films.

The 73-year-old filmmaker has one main area of interest and it is the Jedi, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Kennedy says the director does not give any major inputs into the stories being developed, "but he'll whisper in my ear every now and then. Usually it's something specific or important to him about Jedi training. Things like that." She has been associated with Lucas since their "Raiders of the Lost Ark" days.

The filmmaker sold his company to Disney in a USD four billion deal in 2012.
