Universal Studio's Furious 7, which has already crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box-office, is still going strong and is racing ahead of new releases.
Nick Carpou, president of domestic distribution for Universal, said that there were a lot of ways to measure success and Furious 7 was one of those films that there's a big franchise fan base for and it was growing, Deadline.com reported.

The new release namely SONY's Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 grabbed the second position with earnings between $23.6 million and $24 million, whereas, Unfriended has secured the third position with $16 million earnings in its first week.
