Fresh pair alert: Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar to team up for Neeraj Pandey's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'

Looks like the new wave of pairing up never-before-seen actors on screen is going to bring up some interesting combinations before us. The latest fresh pair to join the lines of Sidharth Malhotra-Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh-Vaani Kapoor etc is that of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.

The duo have teamed up for Neeraj Pandey's upcoming film titled Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The movie is reported to be based on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and it supposed to be a light hearted comedy. The movie will apparently roll in December this year.

As per a report on Pinkvilla, the maker confirmed the news when asked about the lead pair. He said, "I am looking at Naam Shabana, Crack and Toilet : Ek Prem Katha. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have been finalized for the film Toilet : Ek Prem Katha."

Word was already out that Bhumi has had a few meetings with Neeraj Pandey for the film. While Akshay has already given hits like Baby and Special 26 with Neeraj, it would be interesting to see Bhumi with Akshay for the first time!
