English singer Billy Bragg has recently accused Taylor Swift of not being honest with her fans, as according to him she was offered more money, so she 'sold her soul' to Google.

The English singer wrote on his Facebook account that it was a shame that the 24-year-old singer's principled stands against those who would give her music away for free has turned out to be nothing more than a "corporate power play," the BBC reported.

The 56-year-old artist further continued that these worthy sentiments have been somewhat undermined by Swift making her new album and back catalogue available on Google's new Music Key streaming service, which also offers listeners a free service alongside a premium subscription tier.

Bragg suggested that Swift's withdrawal from Spotify was intended to maximize sales of her latest album, 1989, which has topped the charts around the world.

The 'January Song' artist also mentioned that if 'Clean' singer was truly concerned about perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free, she should be removing her material from YouTube, not cosying up to it.

However, spokesperson for Swift said that she has had absolutely no discussion or agreement of any kind with Google's new music streaming service.
