They say better late than never and so, a patch-up between Ekta Kapoor and Rohit Shetty post a fallout three years ago, is welcome news.
The director, who was to make a film for her banner had returned her signing amount. Things took a turn for the worse when their films were to clash on Eid, but Ekta’s Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara! released a week after Shetty’s Chennai Express.
A source charts the developments, “It’s not clear who messaged who first. But these messages resulted in them meeting at his Andheri office and they aired their grievances. Ekta told him she was hurt and disappointed by his about turn. Shetty explained he did so because he was over-committed. Once the issues got sorted, both even discussed doing a big project together. Talks are on currently. Hopefully, something should be announced soon.”
Differences cropped up between Ajay Devgn and his Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai producer post the release of the film and they didn’t speak for a couple of years after that. It was only a few months ago that they sat down and sorted out their differences. It remains to be seen if Rohit can rope in Ekta and Ajay for a film together.
