A lawsuit filed by Stacey Betts against singer Justin Bieber has been dropped.

Betts, who took legal action, accusing him being responsible for her eardrum bursting at his concert in Portland in Oregon July 14, 2010, decided not to pursue the case further.

A source told tmz.com that Betts filed documents last week asking to dismiss her case, in which she was seeking $9 million in damages, because she did not have a lawyer and felt it was impossible to move forward with legal proceedings.

But she still believes in the merits of her case, which she filed after attending a concert with her daughter in 2010 and claimed the 18-year-old incited his fans into such a frenzy that the volume of their screams left her with permanent hearing damage.

The case was dismissed on the same day as Betts filed her documents.
