Double security for Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have been busy completing their shooting schedule for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the second installment after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The duo who were shooting in Kota last week encountered an unexpected fan frenzy.

Once word got out that they were in Rajasthan, locals started showing up at the locations as well as their place of residence daily. “Nearly 15,000 to 20,000 people surrounded the area,” says a source. Varun and Alia each got 20 security guards by the local authorities. But due to the ever growing crowd, the security had to be almost doubled.

“Besides the local personnel, Varun and Alia’s personal security guards were also present. It was still difficult to manage the crowd,” adds the insider. While Varun was all right with the extra adulation, he was more worried about ensuring that Alia was safe.
