Homi Adajania, the director of Finding Fanny is known for the quirky element that he brings in all his films. And with Finding Fanny, it was no different. The entire team called it a niche film, catering only to a particular section of the audience. And so it did. After being lauded by the critics for its unique presentation and powerful performances, the film did not open to huge box office numbers. The film could only have a reasonable collection over the weekend, of about Rs 16.50 crore.

Given the film lacks the masala entertainer pace and is a quirky take on love, relationships and journeys, the film was not expected to turn into a blockbuster. But nevertheless, the film did manage to put up a decent show, bringing in about Rs 4.25 crore on the opening day. With a good word of mouth, the film picked up really well on Saturday with collections shooting up to Rs 6 crore but it failed to pick up on Sunday and remained steady around Rs 6.25 crore.

Cumulatively, the film stands at a total of Rs 16.50 crore which is definitely not huge given that Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor are both actors with 100 crore films to their credit. But if we look at Finding Fanny's collections from a different perspective, it has done a good job.
