While their Bollywood co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone may or may not end up sharing screen space post Bajirao Mastani, chances of Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson working together again, after the recently released Fate Of The Furious seem slim.

It all began with an online spat (see box) between the two. But it got worse when Vin (as co-producer) axed an end-credit scene featuring Dwayne.

The deleted scene was meant to be a setup for a spinoff featuring ‘The Rock’ and his F8 co-star Jason Statham. The scene was shot because co-producer Neal Moritz was bowled over by Johnson’s and Statham’s chemistry in the film. “In early screenings, Johnson and Statham popped so much on-screen together that it seemed like a great idea,” said a source to a website.

Due to Diesel’s and Johnson’s rivalry, the scene was picturised without consulting Vin. When he heard about it from his sister, Samantha Vincent, who is executive producer on the film, he was so upset him that he had it deleted.

Last weekend, at the premiere red carpet, The Rock hinted at their fued saying, “You have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things. And  the most important thing is just the movie.”

“When you watch this movie it (might) seem like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling—you’re right,” he added.

After this flurry of caustic social media posts, it’s hard to picture the two hotties sharing screen space again.

Posting when furious

During the last week of filming F8, The Rock had hinted that not all was well in the Furious family with a Instagram post hashtagged ‘zero tolerance for candy a**es’. He also said, “Some (male co-stars) conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es.”
