Aamir Khan just launched the Dangal trailer an hour back. The film has been one of the most anticipated films of 2016, more because Aamir has not had any release in 2015. The actor has been preparing for his role in the Nitesh Tiwary directorial and the almost three and half minute trailer gives you an insight into what we will witness this Christmas.

We loved the trailer and here's what we could not stop gushing about!

The success story!
Based on the incredible true story of an incredible wrestler - Mahavir Phogat - Dangal captures his successes and failures brilliantly. The trailer begins with Aamir's dhobi pachad but soon life gives him one back and all he's left with is a desire to see his 'beta' win the gold medal for him.

Tackling the gender stereotypes:
You can see the transition really well here. When Aamir is blessed with four kids and Sakshi Tanwar who plays his wife tells him, 'Main aapko chhoda na de paayi', Aamir's response might hit you in the head. He tells her, 'Geeta aur Babita dono hi pyaari hai. Par mera jo sapna hai na woh sirf chhoda hi pura kar saake hai.' From that to 'humari chhodiyan chhodo se kam hai ke?' marks a huge metamorphosis in Aamir's character itself. And that's where the gender stereotypes are broken wonderfully.

Aamir Khan's multiple looks:
From the old Aamir with a paunch to the stubbled young look that spells machismo like no other or the clean shaven Aamir, the superstar who's known for his magical transformations doesn't let you down with this one too.

The girls:
Dangal is an out and out Aamir film. No, that's wrong. The girls  who play Babita Phogat and Geeta Phogat have equal share in the film's trailer. While Aamir stands there like a consort battleship, emanating power, it's the girls who are packing the right punches quite literally. A story of love, passion, belief, hope and dreams - this one will connect with the masses and how!

The dialogues:
We just told you about 'humari chhodiyan chhodo se kam hai ke?'. Apart from that, another dialogue that stands out is the one where Aamir tells Geeta- 'je baat hamesha yadh rakhna beta, kia agar silver jeeti, toh aaj nahi toh kal log tanne bhul javenge. Gold jeeti toh misaal ban javegi. Aur misaale di jaati hai beta, boli nahi jaati.' These powerful lines only capture the essence of the film beautifully.
