Box Office: Sonakshi Sinha's 'Noor' has a TERRIBLE day one at the ticket windows!

The opening day figures of Sonakshi Sinha, Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar starrer Noor are out and they're not impressive. Trade experts had predicted a low opening for the film but none expected it to be so low. 

As per a report on Box Office India, Noor managed to rake in Rs 1.23 crore nett on day one, while trade analysts expected it to be close to the Rs 2 crore mark. The report adds that the disappointing figures on the first day leave no scope for enough improvement on day two for  Noor to come up close to decent numbers.

While Sonakshi, who started her career with Dabangg, has had films performing badly at the ticket windows in the recent past with movies like Lootera and Akira, the first day collection of Noor looks like another low all together. It's not even half of what other female-oriented movies like Naam Shabana, Begum Jaan and Phillauri, opened to. 

Let's see how the movie fares at the ticket windows, considering other movies like Maatr, Ajab Singh Ki Gazab Ki Kahani and Ek Rani Aisi Bhi Thi also struggled to find an audience.
