Grapevines have been buzzing about the alleged love affair between Bipasha Basu and her Alone co-star Karan Singh Grover for the longest time now. While the duo have parted ways with their loved ones recently, reports suggest that it is their proximity which has affected their respective relationships.
On Sunday night, Bipasha and Karan attended the Stardust Awards where they made an entry together. They were seen having a great time together as they engaged in their own banter. But one thing that's hard to ignore is how the two are desperately trying to flaunt their affair in the media. And that is something that leaves everyone with a question - Is their affair for real or just another publicity stunt?
History has it that actors have many a times used this as a cheap publicity gimmick by spreading rumours of an alleged relationship between them. Definitely, a little bit of closeness and physical intimacy piped in and there's a couple selling like hot cakes. Result? Their film gets the anticipation and hype they want it to get, silly!
Now that Bipasha just parted ways with beau Harman Baweja and Karan ended his marriage with Jennifer, it was rumoured that the closeness between the Alone co-stars was the main reason behind their respective splits. Alone, being another spooky horror flick needs the necessary euphoria and hence, the rumoured affair might as well be just another well planned publicity stunt.
The two have denied such reports calling them baseless, but their off screen camaraderie paints a totally different picture. In fact, what makes everyone be dubious about their relationship is the fact that both the stars need their film to be a success. Bipasha who has been delivering duds has been going through a very volatile stage where her films are just not clicking at the box office. Karan, on the other hand is making his debut in Bollywood and like all newcomers, he would definitely not want his maiden venture to go wrong. So Alone is just an acid test for both the actors.
While such situations do point at the 'Bipasha-Karan affair' to be just a mere publicity stunt, we would not be surprised even if it turns real. After all, they do make a hot couple, indeed! What do you think?
