Bigg Boss 8 Finale: Why was Ranbir Kapoor missing during 'Roy' promotions on Salman Khan's show?

Ranbir Kapoor plays an integral role in the upcoming film- Roy and no matter how much he denies it, calling it an extended dynamic appearance,  his fans are waiting to catch him on screen after over a year. Given that even the film is names after his character, we feel Ranbir should start promoting the film as well. But the actor is reluctant. One such instance was right there on Saturday.

The film's lead protagonists- Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal were promoting Roy on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 8 during the Grand Finale. But Ranbir was conspicuous by his absence on the show. While many might think it's the usual screen time issue that might be the reason why Ranbir has decided not to turn up for Roy promotions, with Bigg Boss 8, it's a totally different story altogether.

Ranbir is currently dating Katrina Kaif who in fact was Salman's ex-girlfriend. Hence the two actors have decided to avoid each other at events or dos. Given that there has hardly been any celebrity visiting Salman on his show who has had issues with him previously, Ranbir not turning up did not come as a surprise to most of us. 

Despite the fact that we did want to see the two actors coming together and this was the perfect occasion, Ranbir decided to let it pass. Is it only because of his decision to not promote Roy or is it because he does not want to face Salman? That, only Ranbir can answer!
