Bhavya Gandhi, who gained immense popularity owing to his role of Tappu in comedy show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has announced that he has quit the show. The actor has literally grown up on the sets of the show as he has been associated with it for about 8 years.

Initially, his character was that of a prankster and Bhavya won the hearts of the masses by his portrayal of the same. He played Tipendra Jethalal Gada, Jethalal's son in the sitcom. Later, as the show progressed, his role became that of a responsible teenager from a mischievous kid.

As per reports doing the rounds, Bhavya's mother has revealed that he has quit the show in order to look for better opportunities in the entertainment industry. Bhavya is one of the highest paid child artists in the industry. Reportedly, he rakes in about Rs 10,000 per day of the shoot.
