Ajay Devgn, who had taken a mini-vacation with his family to bring in the New Year before plunging into work head-on, is back and raring to go. The last year had ended on a hit note for him, both as an actor and producer, with Bol Bachchan and Son of Sardaar crossing the Rs100-crore mark.

The Bollywood star kick-starts this year with Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala followed by Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha and then Prabhudheva’s next. And now it has been revealed that by the year-end Ajay is all set to start shooting for the sequel of his earlier Rs100-crore superhit Singham too. “Ajay will be reprising his role as the honest no-nonsense cop Bajirao Singham. The work on the script is on and the pre-production will begin soon,” reveals an insider.

But besides getting into gear for his action-packed flicks, there’s buzz that Ajay will also be seen in a new avatar: That of a dancer! And if buzz is to be believed, the actor himself is quite excited about it. “He is teaming up with Prabhudheva for the first time. So, apart from action, there’s bound to be dancing, as it’s a full-on masala entertainer. And Ajay is excited about that too,” shares a source. Confirming that Ajay begins work on the film post-Satyagraha, the source, however, dismisses talks of the film being a South remake. “Prabhu’s film with Ajay is an original script and not a remake,” the source adds.

As for getting groovy, the source reveals that Ajay had received a fabulous response for his dancing skills in Bol Bachchan and Son of Sardaar, so he would like to do some more of it. “There are dance sequences in both Himmatwala and Prabhu’s film, so it’s going to be a foot-tapping year for Ajay,” says the source.
