Anurag Kashyap to make a love story now

After Bombay Velvet (2015) and Raman Raghav, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has decided to move on to his next project. Now, in a collaboration with Aanand L Rai, Anurag has chosen a love story as the premise for his next fil.

A source close to the film-maker says, “Anurag has been travelling extensively to scout locations for his film. Since he wanted to explore a love story set in a small town, he has been reconnoitering in Uttar Pradesh (UP), and has zeroed in on Bareilly, Varanasi and Lucknow. The film will go on the floors this February. The casting is underway and will be finalised in a couple of days.”

Apparently, this project is close to Anurag’s heart, as it has taken him back to his roots. The source says, “Anurag hails from UP and is happy to set his film in the same region. The Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) films were also partly set in UP, and he is excited to revisit the locations again. What’s most interesting is that this will be the first movie directed by him in which no character dies.”
