Aishwarya Rai is set to hit silver screens again with director Sanjay Gupta's film 'Jazzba'. The actress who was once Bollywood's highest paid actress was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Guzaarish' which was released in the year 2010.
The actress who took a 4-year-long maternity leave from her acting career was rumored to appear in Mani Ratnam's next Tamil film. Meanwhile director Sanjay Gupta who seems all geared-up to direct the padma shri awardee actress for the first time cleared stirring rumors when he tweeted
Yes guys it's true. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the dynamic female lead in my action/thriller JAZBAA.

The movie which will tentatively be shot next January onwards is an action/thriller and will see Aishwarya playing a strong female character. The film will be showcased at the Cannes film festival in 2015.
Sanjay Gupta who has previously directed films like 'Kaante', 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' and 'Shootout at Wadala' talking about the film said that the film will see no item songs in the course of its storytelling. "Though Jazbaa will star Aishwarya, it will not use her ultra-glamourous personality to light-up the frames. She will glow from within", Gupta said.
"The film isn't female-centric. Aishwarya will be seen performing stunts in the movie. To me she is the hero of the film", Gupta said further.
