Aamir Khan's PK released on December 19 and ever since then, the film has managed to shatter all previous box office records including the ones set by contemporaries Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. But the film, along with its huge lifetime collections also sparked a lot of protests for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

The PK controversy shook the entire industry but the film fraternity stood by the PK team, pledging support to the film. Good friend Salman Khan went on to Twitter to openly show his support to PK. After Salman, Shah Rukh Khan too backed the Aamir Khan starrer.

At a recent event when SRK was asked about his opinion on the PK controversy, he said, "When a film has already been censored, it should not be questioned at all. Indian films pass through a rigorous censor and once that's done, it's officially passed. But there will always be people who will have some problem or the other but they should not take it into the system where the whole idea of censorship becomes totally banal"

PK has already entered the Rs 300 crore club and become the highest Bollywood grosser of all time. With the pace at which the film is running, it will add in a few more crores before finishing its lifetime run in the range of Rs 330- 340 crore
