Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt appear in today’s episode of Yaaron Ki Baraat hosted by Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. This will be Sanjay’s first appearance on a TV show post his prison sentence.
Sanjay shared that he has worked with Ajay’s father who was a stunt director and they were like family. Though he knew Ajay since childhood, they grew close and became buddies when they worked together in Raju Chacha.
On the other hand, Ajay shared that he has always been a big fan of Sanjay and he took all his friends to watch his film Jeetein Hain Hum Shaan Se, where they applauded and cheered every time he came on screen. Ajay added, ‘Sanjay has a distinct walk. It’s like a lion walking and people automatically applaud whenever and wherever Sanjay enters’, to which Sanjay humbly replied ‘I may have people applauding but Ajay has all the women crushing on him’.
Abhishek is the youngest of the three. He shared that Sanju will always be Sanju sir and bade bhaiyya for him. Ajay and Abhishek became friends during the shoot of Major Saab which was produced by Amitabh Bachchan’s company. Abhishek had just returned after studying abroad and had no idea about production. As he was trying to help his dad he went to Australia for location hunting. Abhishek recalled, “I was asked to receive Ajay and Kajol at the airport as they were coming directly from a holiday for the shoot. I landed at the airport on time, but realised I hadn’t booked a cab. I caught hold of an Indian driver and all it took me was promise of a picture with Ajay to convince him to drive them down. On reaching the hotel, I realised that I hadn’t booked a room for them. As there were no rooms available, I made them sit at the reception and went running to my room to throw all my stuff outside from the window. That night I slept outside on the road with all my bag baggage.” It was during this schedule that Ajay taught Abhishek nuances of film making, production aspects and even gelled with him as a friend. Abhishek went on to confess that Ajay even made him make tea for him and drive him around under the pretext of cost cutting during this schedule.
After this, it was a laughter riot as secrets about all tumbled out including Ajay and Sanjay’s dislike of dance. A point that was proved when the song Naacho Re started playing. While Abhishek started dancing, Dutt stood in one place and moved to the music while Ajay flatly refused to get up from the sofa. Sajid brought out a hilarious music video from Action Jackson, which had Ajay just moving his hands to the song and not shaking his leg.
Two new elements were introduced in the show — one where the actors had to recognise some vegetable blindfolded and another where they were asked to reply to certain questions in yes or no. Dutt’s replies and candid confessions turned out to be the most honest, followed by Abhishek’s.
