Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' OVERTHROWS Salman Khan's 'Sultan'

And Aamir Khan has done it again! Mr perfectionist's wrestling flick Dangal crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on day 3, beating Salman Khan's wrestling flick Sultan at the box office, reports a tabloid. Dangal is based on the real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, Geeta and Babita.

After gathering Rs 29.78 crore and Rs 34.82 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively, Dangal witnessed a big surge in business on Sunday with Rs 42.35 crore, thus making a record for single day collection.

Now Dangal’s total three day collection chimes in at Rs 106.95 crore, overtaking Sultan’s three-day figures by Rs 1.42 crore. This is Aamir's fifth movie to cross R100 crore, after Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 and PK. However, let's wait and watch if Dangal will become  2016’s top grosser.
