The Bachchans
Hosts: Amitabh and Jaya along with Abhishek and Aishwarya
WHY: They are known to throw the biggest Diwali bash in B-Town. There are card tables, great food and music and the hosts are the best.
Guest list: Last year, their party was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, and Hrithik Roshan among others.
The Kapoors
Hosts: Anil and Sunita, Sonam and Harshvardhan
WHY: It's an annual well-heeled event with the family.
Guest list: Expect a well-attended do.
Ekta Kapoor
Hosts: The soap queen will have her Diwali party on October 27 at her Juhu bungalow.
WHY: Card tables and delicious food on offer.
Guest list: Many B-Town stars will be in attendance.
The Dutts
Hosts: Sanjay and Manaayata
WHY: Dutt is out from jail after three-and-half-years so this time, Diwali is special for the Dutt.
Guest list: They will host an intimate party for close friends and family -- Dutt's sisters Namrata and Priya and their families -- at Sanjay's 11th floor apartment at Pali Hill.
The Khans
Hosts: Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao
WHY: It's a ritual the star has been doing for a year. Card games, good food and conversation is expected to flow as usual.
Guest list: The duo will hold a small get-together for close friends and family at his Carter Road Apartment in Bandra.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra
Invites for the October 28 had gone to her close friends and family when her dad passed away last week.
Current status: The party has been cancelled.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle
The Kumars, who are known to hold special Diwali bashes, won't be having one after several years.
Current Status: The family will be enjoying a vacation in Cape Town on Diwali this year. No party!

Salman Khan
While Salman is currently shooting for Tubelight in Manali, he flies to Mumbai to shoot for Big Boss 10 on Fridays. Right now, the star's Diwali plans are still fluid. If in town, he is expected to attend his good friend Aamir's Diwali party.
Shah Rukh Khan
King Khan is in Budapest shooting for Imtiaz Ali's The Ring, but will fly back to Mumbai a couple of days before Diwali to celebrate the festival with his friends and family.

- Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who are shooting for Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya in Singapore for a day to celebrate Diwali with family and return soon after that.
- Chunky Pandey and his wife Bhavana will have a Diwali party for friends which will be a joint celebration as their daughter turns 18.
- Kareena Kapoor Khan will be with Saif Ali Khan celebrating Diwali together
- Ayushmann Khurrana is shooting for Bareilly Ki Barfi in Lucknow.
- Parineeti Chopra is in town and will attend Diwali parties. She has never played cards so she wants to try her hand at it this year.
- Arjun Kapoor is shooting for Half Girlfriend in Benares.
- Priyanka Chopra is in LA shooting for Quantico.
- Anushka Sharma is promoting Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that day.
- Ranveer Singh is prepping for Padmavati at his Goregaon home and may attend the Bachchan's Diwali bash.
- Shahid Kapoor will bring in Diwali with his wife and baby daughter at their Juhu apartment with friends and family. This year is special for the star as his family circle is complete.
