64-year-old actress Suhasini Mulay's 2011 marriage makes news today

Popular Bollywood and Marathi actress Suhasini Mulay has been in news for the last few days for apparently 'getting married at the age of 60'. 

While it is true that Suhasini found love and got married when she was 60, the news has come out only 4 years later. Yes, the actress is 64 right now, and in fact got married on January 16, 2011. 

Suhasini is best known for her roles as Akshaye Khanna's mother in Dil Chahta Hai and Aamir Khan's mother in Lagaan. She has also acted in other films like Jodhaa Akbar, Page 3, Humraaz and a few TV shows.

According to reports, Suhasini met Atul Gurtu, a physicist, online. Atul, who is widower, had written an article after his first wife had passed away. After Suhasini read the article where Atul wrote about the period when his first wife was suffering from cancer, she felt attracted to him. 

Her family was initially surprised when she broke this news to them, reports suggest. In an interview to an entertainment portal, Suhasini said her family had never imagined her getting married at all and hence the news came as a shock to everyone.
