After Offo, Locha-e-ulfat and Mast Magan, the makers have released yet another song — Iski Uski — from the film.
While the previous songs were either peppy or romantic numbers, this new song is a nice mix of the two. Sung by Shahid Mallya and Akriti Kakar, Iski uski is a vibrant Punjabi wedding song.
The soon-to-be-released film, based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name, is inspired by the author’s personal life.
The film is a love story in which two IIM graduates fall for each other, but trouble comes when they decide to tie the knot, as the they start realising the implications of their cultural differences.

The song starts with a Punjabi woman making fun of Alia's name. Following which Arjun Kapoor enters the scene and woos his lady love in true Punjabi style. A look at the lyrics will tell you so.
Punjab da puttar, hai pind Jalandhar
Yaar wai wai ankhiyon se kill karda
King type da, hai tang life da
Yaar wai wai khetan vich chill karda
Do it my my way, nahi te Highway
Inko farak yaaron ki penda
Iski uski kaun kiski yaaran da imaan whisky
Uspe chicken ho to hor wadhiya
Pretty Pretty face jitthe jatta always utthe
Maamla done ho to hor wadhiya
The music is upbeat and the mood of the song is in keeping with the Punjabi naach gaana. In the song, Alia, plays an awkward South Indian girl, who doesn't know how to be around the loud Punjabi relatives.
However, she later breaks into a jig and also shows off some Bharatnatyam moves to bowl over her guy.
All in all, the song is good fun and Arjun-Alia make a super-cute pair. Check out the video here and tell us if you agree with us.
