Team owner Abhishek Bachchan, producers BBC Studios India and Amazon Prime Video unveiled the trailer of the series - 'Sons of the Soil' on Tuesday

Amazon Prime Video, on Tuesday, unveiled the trailer for the sports documentary series 'Sons of the Soil' based on the 2018-19 Pro Kabbadi League season journey of the team Jaipur Pink Panthers.
The 5-episode series is finally seeing the light of the day after being on the shelves for a year. Alongwith the streaming platform, the franchise's owner Abhishek Bachchan was present at the trailer launch along with the representative from the producers.
Produced by BBC Studios India and directed by two-time BAFTA Scotland winner Alex Gale, the series encompasses Panthers' journey in the up-and-down season with behind-the-scenes footage of the team and country's one of the oldest sports - Kabaddi.
The series 'Sons of the Soil - Jaipur Pink Panthers' will be launched on December 4 streaming in over 200 countries simultaneously.

After Netflix's 'Cricket Fever - Mumbai Indians' and Disney+ Hotstar's 'Roar of the Lion', this is Amazon Prime Video's foray into Indian sports documentaries.
Talking about partnering with Amazon for this never-seen-before straight out of the players' locker room-view series, Abhishek Bachchan said, "I am delighted to team-up with Amazon Prime Video to tell the inspiring story of Jaipur Pink Panthers to the global audience. The series is co-directed by Omkar Potdar and music is given by Gaurav Godkhindi, who recently gave the background score for Bejoy Nambiar's 'Taish'.
