Woman boxer thrashes men for passing lewd comments in Delhi's Nihal Vihar

A female boxer thrashed four youths in Nihal Vihar area after they tried to pass lewd remarks at her and were trying to harass her on Wednesday night. Police said the incident took place while she was on her way back home. Two accused have been arrested while the manhunt has been launched to arrest the remaining two accused.

According to the police, the victim was walking on the road along with her boxing coach when the incident took place. Based on the complaint filed by the victim, police have registered an FIR against the four under section 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

Police said the incident occurred on Wednesday night when the girl after her boxing practice was on her way home with her coach and two men on a bike tried to pass remarks at her. When she confronted them, the accused men called more friends and a scuffle began between them.
