In water tanker scam worth Rs 360.55 crore, Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) of Delhi government has issued summons to Bibhav Kumar, a close aide to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday directing him to join investigation into the case on May 17.

Summons was issued after sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra had alleged that Bibhav Kumar and Ashish Talwar, who is political advisor to Kejriwal, were responsible for the delay in action in the scam.

Mishra had alleged that on the advice of these two people, Kejriwal delayed the action into the scam.

On Thursday, Mishra had recorded his statement with the agency, after he submitted evidence in support of his allegations that Bibhav Kumar and Ashish Talwar tried to influence the scam probe.

"We have found new evidences in the cases and to verify them we have issued summons. Whosoever name will crop up during investigation, we will record their statement," said ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena.

The anti-graft agency will also issue summons to Ashish Talwar to recorded his statement in the case.

ACB has found that Mishra's allegations that Kejriwal ignored the water tanker scam of the previous regime and sat on the report despite knowing the irregularities, are "absolutely correct,"
