Two men sustained critical stab injuries after a scuffle between two groups following heated arguments over a petty issue at a local restaurant in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area on Saturday night.

According to the police, it was around 9 pm when they got a call reporting the ruckus. By the time a police team reached the spot it was found that four men, Akash, Praveen, DK and Vikas, had suffered injuries from a sharp object and had been rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre in an autorickshaw by locals. Doctors informed the police that Akash and Praveen are critical, while others were out of danger.

“The two, who are critical, are undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at the trauma center. During the preliminary investigation, it has been found that the men were attacked by Shikari, Deepak, Manish, Mohit and Roshan. It has also been found that both the groups belong to Ward number 2 of Mehrauli and are known to each other. A case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Mehrauli police station,” the senior police officer said.
