Two burglars held by Delhi Police, stolen items recovered

The accused have been identified as Jaswant (20) and Raja (21), both residents of the same locality.

Delhi Police arrested two burglars and solved the robbery case at Sonia Gandhi Camp within 24 hours after a PCR call was received reporting to them about the incident.

The accused have been identified as Jaswant (20) and Raja (21), both residents of the same locality.

Satendar, a resident of Jhuggi reported to the police that on Saturday morning they had found their back door broken and their house ransacked. While checking to see if anything was taken, some gold and silver ornaments along with other jewellery articles were found to be missing from the house. The police immediately started their investigation.

"We gathered local intelligence after we conducted a door-to-door investigation. It was found that the two accused had been found suspiciously roaming around the house late at night," said Devender Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West District)

During interrogation, the accused persons confessed to their involvement in the case.

The police have recovered all stolen articles which include a gold chain, a gold necklace, one pair of a gold bracelet, two gold rings, two pair gold tops, a pair of silver anklet and one lady watch.

Police also said that both accused have been involved in many other cases and are budding criminals. Further investigation is in progress.
