Two arrested for sending lewd messages to 29-year-old

Two men from Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad were arrested on Tuesday morning for sending lewd and threatening messages to 29-year-oldwoman. The two were produced in court and have been sent to jail.

According to police, the accused have been identified as Gulshan, nephew of Lallaman 'Lassiwale' of Congress who contested mayor's bypoll elections in Kavi Nagar of Ghaziabad. Another man arrested is identified as Deepak Tyagi, son of the Green View Resort builder in Rajnagar extension. "The women filed a complaint against the two on women power line1090 and following which she was called to the police station Monday. In her complaint the women stated that Gulshan was her classmate in school and since then he has been troubling her," said Manisha Singh, Deputy superintendent Of police, (Circle Officer 1 city),Ghaziabad.

In her complaint, she alleged that Gulshan had proposed her but she had rejected his proposal but he kept texting him on several social media sites.

"Despite the girl ignoring his texts, Gulshan gave her number to many other and she kept getting texts from unknown numbers over these years. One of them was Tyagi also. Around 15 days back Tyagi stopped her in the market area and asked her why does she ignores her texts and threatened to throw acid on her face," Singh added.

On Saturday, Gulshan sent her lewd messages again and stopped her in the evening and questioned her character also.

"Gulshan asked her to be his life partner. He then mentioned about Tyagi. Following which the girl registered against the two," Singh added.

Police have arrested the two from Kavi Nagar area and have booked them under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 504 Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace ad have sent the duo to jail.
