The Delhi police have arrested three accused in cases of online cheating. The accused identified as Binod Kumar Rajak (19), Naresh Rana (35) and Deepak Mandal alias Deepu (22) were arrested from the Giridih area of Jharkhand after Dharamveer, a resident of the Dwarka area of South-West Delhi had registered a complaint with the Dwarka district police alleging online cheating of Rs 55,000.

Deepu pretended to be a bank employee and asked the victim to share a one-time password (OTP) message with him to unblock his ATM debit card. However, he used this OTP to transfer money into his Paytm account. He had previously cheated several other people with using the same modus operandi. The Delhi Police have time and again warned people to beware of online and telephonic frauds, and not to share ATM pin and passwords with anyone.
