The L-block of Jalvayu Vihar came once again in limelight with the dentist couple Dr Rajesh and Nupur Talwar returning to the locality after spending four years and 20 days in Dasna jail, over the murder of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.

As they entered the locality, the couple was welcomed by mediapersons, Noida police and anxious residents waiting for catch a glance. Clad in a peach kurta and white salwar, Nupur quickly passed through the crowd and ran upstairs to her mother, followed by Rajesh.

As soon as Nupur saw her mother, she touched her feet and immediately broke down while hugging her. Fighting back her tears, Nupur's mother Lata Chitnis welcomed the couple to her house located in the next block of Jalvayu Vihar. Entering another house of the same locality, the Talwar couple did not utter a single word after coming out from the jail on Monday.

The Talwar's residence L-32 is now being occupied by a tenant. Aarushi was found discovered in her bedroom with her throat slit on May 16 in the same house. Hemraj's body was found the next day from the terrace.

Convicted in the double murder, the Talwars were lodged in jail in 2013 and freed only after the Allahabad High Court on October 12, acquitted them. "We are extremely happy for the parents. In the last four years, they have suffered a lot and now deserve to live a peaceful life. They have lost their daughter and nothing can get her back," said Rajiv Sahai, another resident.

The couple will be staying in Chitnis's house (L-245) till Diwali. Elated at their release, the family is now just spending time with them.

"I am so happy to see them coming back with full honour and dignity. Whatever charges have been levelled against them since the past few years from so many institutions have all been absolved by the high court," said Vandana Talwar, sister-in-law.

The block which used to stay silent as a grave was suddenly overcrowded on Monday. The Noida police had deployed their officers at the gate to ensure the safety of the couple. However, the residents in the area complained about the mismanagement during the entire episode.

"There is no space to even walk. Why are people gathering in our locality? We have been facing this for too long. The authorities must take some action. The couple should be left alone for some time," said Surbhi Ahuja, one of the residents.

Unaware of the situation, teenagers were seen taking selfies and uploading them to the social networking websites.
