Ryan murder: 'Shock' cited as cause of death

The post-mortem report of seven-year-old child who was murdered inside the washroom at the Ryan International School, Gurugram, indicated "shock" and "haemorrhage" as the cause of his death. The report also suggested that a single edged sharp injury and its consequences were sufficient enough to cause his death.

DNA had earlier reported that the there was no signs of sexual assault on the body which the report also suggests.

The boy was murdered inside the school allegedly by the school conductor who killed him in an attempt to assault him. The report also stated that the incised wound was about 18x2 cm, the wound extended from his anterior neck to right ear and can also be seen cutting through the ear up to the superficial scalp tissue. As per the report, the wound was so deep that it was spread across the strap muscles, trachea and the food pipe.

The boy had been murdered with a kitchen knife which was also recovered from the spot.

The school has been shut since the child was murdered, on September 8. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday met the parents of the child and asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the case. Meanwhile, the Haryana government has taken over the school for a period of three months.
