A day after the deadly blaze, which killed six people of an electrical factory in Noida's Sector 11, people on Thursday continued their search to trace loved ones who were possibly charred in the fire.

Family members of 35-year-old Sanjay Das, director of the company, made several rounds to the hospitals and the site of the incident, where his car was still parked on the other side of the road.

"Sanjay Das's wife had come in search of her husband, who is the director of the company. His car has been towed down and we are still trying to ascertain his whereabouts," said Dinesh Yadav, SP (City).

Preliminary investigations have put the Noida Authority under scanner as they allowed the building to come up without a proper No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to senior police officials, the building had taken a temporary structural NOC but did not have the final NOC after the occupancy. Following this, the management of the company has been booked for negligence.

"An FIR under section 304A of Indian Penal Code has been registered against the owners of the company for negligence as they did not have the final NOC for fire. However, they did take the structural NOC," Yadav said.

Police also added that an enquiry has been set up by the District Magistrate NP Singh to probe into the alleged role of the officials from Noida Authority who allowed the management of the company to operate illegally.

"The building was running illegally and did not have any certificate from the fire department, labour department and factory registration," said an official.

Hours after the fire, all that lay behind were charred pieces of flesh, a burnt Royal Enfield bike and broken LED bulbs. The bodies which have been identified were handed over to the families after conducting post-mortem.

Officials at the hospitals said the bodies were in worse conditions and had shrinked due to burn injuries. "The bodies were charred beyond recognition and had shrinked," said an official from the District Hospital.

Six people, including a 22-year-old Jasmeet Kaur studying BA (H) from Delhi University, were burnt alive after a deadly blaze broke out at a electrical factory in Noida.
