Nabbed culprits within 30 minutes of robbery: Cops

The North East District of Delhi Police have arrested three men involved in a robbery case from Johripur Pulia on Friday. Speaking to DNA, police officers claimed they managed to arrest the accused within half an hour of the robbery.

According to police, they got a police control room call at around 2:30 am by Ajay Kumar who reported a robbery at his house. "In his complaint, Kumar stated that he heard a noise on the first floor of his house. As he reached upstairs, he saw a man stealing articles from the almirah. When he raised an alarm, the accused threatened him with a knife and fled," said a police officer. Various teams were formed to look for the criminals.

"As we reached near Johripur Pulia, along with complainant, we spotted three people on a motorcycle. They tried to outrun the police vehicles but were intercepted. The accused, Mahender, told the police that in order to make money, he and two others planned the robbery," a police officer said.

Four gold bangles and a gold necklace, three gold rings, earrings, a watch and cash of Rs 2,800 in cash have been recovered from the accused.
